Wickham Morris have 3 main aims - to enjoy ourselves, keep the old English tradition of Morris dancing going and ensure the funds raised by our busking goes to charity. At the various pubs and other venues where we dance, we "pass the hat around" and in recent years we have collected well over £1000 each year.

In addition, we regularly support various local Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, Guides, schools by putting on displays or teaching children. In fact it is one of the features of Wickham, that if any children come and watch us and want to give it a try then we get them up dancing - and a child in our definition is anyone aged between 7 and 97, though we might extend this if a special case is made!

At the end of the 2017/18 season, we will be donating the proceeds of our busking to

enable ability. http://www.enableability.org.uk/

"Enable Ability is established as an independent charity for the care, welfare and advancement of disabled people living in Portsmouth and the surrounding area.
We work in partnership with disabled children and adults, their families and carers, to provide a range of high quality, professional and confidential services."
